History

It all began in the 1990s, when our grandparents, Papa and Mama Indenge, decided to open their first restaurant, "NEW AFRICANA," located in Saint-Josse.

A few years later, they moved to Boulevard du Midi, where they enjoyed many years of success! Connoisseurs also enjoyed themselves during the Bruxelles-les-Bains festival, under the "KinChezSoi" straw hut.

After proudly representing Congolese cuisine for more than two decades, they decided to end their wonderful adventure following the difficult times of Covid-19.

But this wonderful story could not remain unfinished. So, after a few years of reflection, one of their grandchildren decided to continue the adventure in order to preserve this beautiful legacy!

That's how AFRIKANA RESTAURANT was born in 2023! We have kept the famous "grandmother's recipes" while adding a more modern touch, with an original and unique dish concept in Brussels!
